Morning James

With the May Bank Holiday, half term approaching - and a heatwave on the horizon - I thought you may be interested in a story around the growing appeal of UK camping and touring holidays.

Red Funnel is seeing growing demand for camping and touring breaks to the Isle of Wight, with bookings up 37% year-on-year as families look for easy, affordable coastal escapes closer to home.

Why the Isle of Wight is proving especially popular this spring/summer:

· Shanklin has once again been named the UK’s sunniest coastal spot, with 1,976 sunshine hours a year – 40% higher than the national average.

· The island offers sandy beaches, beautiful coastal walks, great eateries and a range of activities ideal for the whole family.

· It’s an easy escape from the mainland - just an hour across the Solent by ferry from Southampton.

· Red Funnel Holidays is currently offering 25% off ferry travel when booked with accommodation.

· Ferry-inclusive camping and touring breaks start from £134 across four Isle of Wight campsites.

Happy to arrange comment from Fran Collins, CEO of Red Funnel, on the rise in demand for UK camping staycations and outdoor travel trends if useful.

Best,

Isabelle
